Retro Tech Drives: Rexing M2 Smart BSD ADAS Dual Mirror Dash Cam Review

In our continued exploration of blending vintage aesthetics with modern technology, the team at Retro Tech Drives delved into the underpinnings of the Rexing M2 Smart BSD ADAS Dual Mirror Dash Cam. This particular model offers a plethora of features, including dual 1080p video recording, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), blind-spot detection (BSD), and GPS to enhance and modernize your retro drives.

The 12″ IPS touchscreen serves not only as a platform to access the camera’s functionalities but also doubles as a rear mirror. It provides a wider field of view, which is a considerable upgrade, especially for retro vehicles with notorious blind spots. Nonetheless, be prepared to navigate occasional daylight glare, especially if you’re driving in high-light environments like the desert. The glare could potentially impede the view, but in such cases, another rear-view mirror can assist.

The video quality holds up decently, with a 2K front and 1080p rear camera making license plates highly visible up to a distance. On a well-lit street or during daytime driving, the camera performs superb. Nighttime driving, however, does present some visibility challenges, with the least of light leading to glares, obscuring the live view considerably.

One key selling point of the Rexing M2 is its Advanced Driver Assist System which serves a lane change assistant. Contrarily, we found this feature to be less than ideal, with occasional false registries during our tests. While this adds an extra sense of security, constant resetting of this feature can be cumbersome and distracts from the primary function of the dash cam.

The camera also packs a G-sensor, locking in video at the detection of any impact during driving. This could be a double-edged sword though, as even slight bumps lead to locked files, and after a certain amount, new locks can’t be placed. This could lead to loss of critical footage, something to take a note of. Conversely, on a positive light, the responsive touchscreen interface is very user-friendly and gets you through setting up and operating the camera quite seamlessly.

We also invested some time understanding the camera’s loop recording and parking monitor features. Once the memory card hits storage limits, this dash camera automatically overwrites the oldest footage, ensuring the capture of recent events. This comes handy for civil disputes or evidence requisition in unfortunate cases of accidents. But remember, clarity at night is not the camera’s forte.

The installation process is fairly straightforward, and mounting the camera in a way that it blends with the retro aesthetics was a breeze. Kudos to the brand for also offering 18 months of warranty, showing they do stand by their product, for most part. However, some users reported hit-or-miss customer service, so that’s something to keep in mind.

All in all, the Rexing M2 delivers a mixed bag of good and bad. It shines with its dual recording, blind spot detection, and straightforward installation. But expect to partake in the dance of occasional daylight glare, letdowns from the smart features, and possible customer service lapses.

Nevertheless, the allure of integrating future tech with past aesthetics can be worth these growing pains. Closing with a 3.8/5 rating, the Rexing M2 may not be the go-to solution for all, but certainly an option worth exploring for the retro-tech enthusiast in you.

REDTIGER Rear View Mirror Camera Review: Classic Meets Cutting-Edge

As a team of seasoned car tech enthusiasts here at Retro Tech Drives, we recently got our hands on the REDTIGER Rear View Mirror Camera for Cars and we have quite a lot to share. As we always do, we combined the elegance of classic style with the utility of modern technology in our testing, and we were pleasantly surprised with the result.

Right off the bat, we were impressed by the camera’s exclusive feature offering both front 4K and rear 2.5K resolution. Coupled with a built-in HI-SILICON chip, the device delivered crisp images and videos from both front and rear dash cams. Also, its six-layer glass lens provided notably enhanced night vision in darker environments.

A standout feature was the camera’s WDR+HDR super night vision. The WDR + HDR technology excellently enhanced night time visuals, with the high-sensitivity sensor capturing video with sharp and vivid color even in less light. This resulted in a safer and more secure driving experience and significantly reduced the blinding glare from car headlights.

The REDTIGER camera also boasted an 11″ UHD Touch Screen that caught our eye. With upgraded technology, this 11-inch screen offered a 440×1920 resolution, with an intelligent screen split function that allows simultaneous observation of the vehicle’s front and rear dynamics in real time — a feature we found very useful during hands-on testing.

We were particularly satisfied with the range of additional features, including a 24H parking monitor, G-sensor, guidelines, and loop recording. The parking monitor worked impressively, acting as a surveillance camera system when the vehicle was off for up to 48 hours.

However, in our experience, the camera was not without flaws. Some of the team members found the display screen to be a bit too overstimulating, causing mild distractions at times. Also, we noticed that the device failed to live up to the night vision capability as marketed, especially in areas with minimal lighting. On the upside, we believe future iterations of the product could show improvements in this area.

Past minor discrepancies, one of the highlights of our experience with this product was the customer service quality. We got a feel of the manufacturer’s promise of prioritizing consumer needs with its 1-year warranty offer and a highly responsive customer service team.

As for mounting, we decided to mount the rear camera inside at the top of the rear windshield, which gave us a much broader and clearer view compared to the traditional rearview mirror. The quality of sound and resolution was impressive, and the touchscreen made navigating the controls pretty convenient.

In terms of analytical feedback, while the current panoramic lens captures license plates clearly during the day, it was a struggle to do so from afar. But this is a minor setback considering the feature is most needed during driving emergencies, which the camera easily handles with its one-touch emergency record and lock function.

One of the slight downsides we noted was a bit of glare at night, but this in no way detracts from the array of quality features the camera boasts, like the quick animations and slide/motion gesture controls on the touchscreen.

In conclusion, we at Retro Tech Drives found the REDTIGER Rear View Mirror Camera for Cars to be a product that bridges the gap between modern convenience and classic aesthetics. Despite a few minor shortcomings, its high-resolution camera, advanced features, and the manufacturer’s commitment to consumer satisfaction make it a decent investment for any car tech enthusiast.

KQQ 4K/2.5K Mirror Dash Cam Front and Rear with 64G SD Card Review

Every retro car aficionado appreciates robust, trustworthy technology that effortlessly merges with the vintage aesthetics of their vehicle. The KQQ 4K/2.5K Mirror Dash Cam Front and Rear is a perfect example of such a piece of modern tech that beautifully blends with your vehicle.

When peering into its crisp 10″ IPS touch screen, one is reminded of the smooth lines of a classic hot rod, while its features are nothing short of space-age. With a 170°wide angle for the front and rear cameras, it offers an almost panoramic view of the surrounding environment, reducing the dreaded blind spots to a minimum.

The picture quality is impressive, to say the least. It records front views in 4K/2.5K and rear views in 1080P. At the heart of its performance lies the HDR technology that cleverly balances light on its own, providing a clear, focused view even in challenging lighting conditions.

For those nocturnal cruise nights, this standout dashcam does not disappoint. The Super Night Vision capability uses a large F1.8 aperture and 6 glass lens to capture every detail, making your night drives safer while preserving the atmosphere of the night scene in high-quality videos.

But it’s not only about excellent video quality. The KQQ dashcam also features a G-sensor emergency recording system. It’s ever-vigilant, anticipating and promptly reacting to collisions by locking the video in an emergency, preserving precious evidence when you need it most.

Moreover, parking just got easier with its reverse assistance system and parking monitor. The KQQ dashcam’s 140° wide-angle rear lens provides a broad field of view, helping you confidently maneuver your vintage machine into tight parking spots. For those extra long vehicles, it does require a longer cable which is available separately.

We applaud the KQQ dashcam’s resilience under severe testing, as it proved to perform stably both in sweltering summer heat and biting winter cold. We also commend the free inclusion of a 64GB Class-10 high-speed memory card, which ensures you won’t be running out of storage space anytime soon. Plus, it provides multilingual support catering to a wide range of users.

In every device and technology, one will always find room for improvements and this is no exception. Our team encountered a slight challenge with the length of the wire connecting the rear camera to the mirror in some long-bodied vehicles, a minor hitch in an otherwise stellar product.

After long hours of testing, one can notice a rise in temperature when our friend, Mr. Sun, decides to shine directly onto it. However, it’s an issue that does not overshadow all the excellent metrics of this versatile device.

To sum up our findings, the KQQ 4K/2.5K Mirror Dash Cam Front and Rear with 64GB SD Card is a device that’s both highly functional and visually appealing. It’s a fitting companion to your retro car, providing modern safeguards to your nostalgic drives. With a 4.5/5 rating, it’s clearly a crowd favorite, and rightly so.

If you’re shopping around for a reliable and feature-rich car dash cam that packs a vintage vibe, the KQQ dash cam is most certainly a strong contender. It’s not just about its looks, but the experience it delivers. After all, what’s a retro drive if not enriched with nostalgia and safeguarded by modern tech?

A Comprehensive Review of URVOLAX OEM 12″ Mirror Dash Cam

Here at Retro Tech Drives, we are always excited when we find a product that brings our love for retro drives and modern technology together. Enter the URVOLAX OEM 12″ Mirror Dash Cam – a voice-controlled dashboard camera with a detached front lens, full HD digital rearview, dual split-screen, night vision, GPS features and parking assist. While it maintains the charm of the retro car design, it’s packed with high-tech features that are far from old-fashioned.

Installation

Whether you’re a classic car enthusiast updating your vintage ride or an everyday driver eager to hit the road with enhanced tech, the URVOLAX Mirror Dash Cam is a breeze to install. It perfectly fits on the original mirror, employing an OEM bracket mount that adds an elegant and solid touch. Plus, the 33ft extension cable included in the package is flexible enough to suit a wide variety of vehicle models, from compact cars to big trucks.

Voice Control Feature

Who said old-school rides and voice controls don’t mix? The URVOLAX Mirror Dash Cam surely begs to differ. Its cutting-edge voice controls elevate your driving experience, allowing you to operate the function easily while keeping your hands free for safe driving.

Display and Imaging

The 12-inch full touch screen mirror displays a wide corner view, recording more traffic signs simultaneously. This mirror leverages full laminated screen technology, ensuring you get the best image quality even under strong sunlight. And when it comes to night drives, the night vision is clear and reliable, minimizing the dazzling from other vehicles’ headlights.

Functional Flexibility & Customer Support

Perhaps one of its key selling points is its flexibility. When installing this device in a newly acquired vehicle or modifying your current ride, the device gives you an option to install the rear cam upside down by flipping the images. Moreover, the after-sale support provided by URVOLAX is top-notch. We experienced firsthand their customer-centric service approach, quickly attending to queries and troubleshooting installation issues efficiently.

Quality and Performance

The recorded video quality is satisfactory, considering the product’s price point. The display, sharp during the daytime, shows adequate performance at nighttime, although there still exists room for improvement. Nevertheless, customers who mostly drive during the daylight should find the product absolutely worth the buck.

Small Setbacks

While the URVOLAX Mirror Dash Cam offers great value and advanced features, there are a few considerations worth mentioning. Some users have reported difficulty reading the display in bright sunlight. Removing the SD card to access recordings might be awkward considering the location of the slot at the top of the display.

Conclusion

All said and done, the URVOLAX OEM 12″ Mirror Dash Cam, hitting a solid 4.3/5 on Amazon, is one excellent addition to your modern update for your classic ride. Expertly blending retro design and modern features, this device proves to serve every driver’s need, while still looking undeniably cool on the dashboard.

“Exploring the Hits and Misses of Jansite’s 10” Rear View Mirror Dash Cam: An In-depth Reflection from Garage Guru Gary” https://www.retrotechdrives.com/2023/08/30/exploring-the-hits-and-misses-of-jansites-10-rear-view-mirror-dash-cam-an-in-depth-reflection-from-garage-guru-gary/ https://www.retrotechdrives.com/2023/08/30/exploring-the-hits-and-misses-of-jansites-10-rear-view-mirror-dash-cam-an-in-depth-reflection-from-garage-guru-gary/#respond Wed, 30 Aug 2023 08:34:22 +0000 https://www.retrotechdrives.com/?p=252 Garage Guru Gary’s Deep Dive into the Upgraded Jansite 10” Rear View Mirror Camera Mirror Dash Cam

Jansite’s double 1080P, 10-inch mirror dash cam boasts of pioneering the streaming media full touch screen technology within the vehicular arena. The front and rear cameras offer impressive 1080p video quality, translating into clear, crisp images. We found this feature to be particularly advantageous as every detail counts when the camera is your eyewitness. However, we noticed inconsistencies in the resolution, with the video quality resembling more of 720p rather than 1080p in certain instances.

One standout feature of this dash cam is its nighttime vision. Its analogy high definition backup camera performed exceptionally in low light conditions, making it a reliable companion during those after-dark drives. Yet, we found a glitch in the backup camera’s display: the image relay is mirrored, which, instead of helping, can confuse the driver.

The Jansite dash cam scores high in its convenience of use. Its user interface is thoughtful, making it easy to operate. The screen brightness is also adjustable, meaning no strain when driving in different light conditions. But you may face some challenges if you require a direct replacement of the backup camera lens, as the current design does not support it.

The device’s power functions are powerful. It features a long 10-meter backup camera cable, providing ample length for easy installation, especially in larger vehicles. However, some of our lab tests pointed out potential battery drainage when the device is unplugged. A situation worth noting if you plan on using it without continuous power supply.

You would expect such a device to come with an SD card, but the Jansite dash cam doesn’t. So, be sure to budget for one or the camera won’t record. While on the subject, we noticed a significant flaw concerning the SD card storage. In a simulated car accident, the recording deleted itself after being played back a couple of times. This, we think, is a crucial failing as recorded footage can be critical evidence in real accident situations.

Jansite definitely scores some brownie points with its easy installation process and remarkable customer service. We did experience an unexpected mishap with the dash cam as it intermittently powered off and on while on the move. While Jansite’s published customer service contact information seemed outdated, we managed to reach their support team via an alternate email address. They promptly addressed our issue, reinstating our trust in their after-sales service.

In conclusion, the Jansite 10” Rear View Mirror Camera Mirror Dash Cam, with its dual 1080P resolution, is a decent value for the price. It’s designed with features that enhance the safety and ease of driving. However, it has some noticeable flaws, such as the reversed image feed from the backup camera and the issue of auto-deleting accident footage. Overall, given its impressive video quality, user-friendly interface, and strong customer support, the Jansite mirror dash cam merits a 4.1/5 rating on our scale.

<p>As the line between modern technology and classic car appreciation continues to blur, we here at Retro Tech Drives found ourselves captivated by the NexiGo D80 2.5K Mirror Dash Cam. With sophisticated specs that nod to the glory days of tech evolution, yet a streamlined design befitting any dashboard, this gadget begs for closer inspection.</p>

<h2>Rolling in High-Definition</h2>

<p>Driving the NexiGo D80 right off the bat is its 2.5K high-resolution front camera. This magnificent piece of technology paints a vivid picture of your surroundings, ensuring every inch of your journey is captured with precision. This kind of detailed recording could be a lifesaver, providing essential data in case of any unexpected incidents.</p>

<p>Driving along on this high definition highway is the 1080P rear camera, faithfully recording everything that goes on behind you. Together, these cameras provide a comprehensive view of both ends of your classic automobile.</p>

<h2>Strong Star of the Night</h2>

<p>The power of NexiGo D80’s night vision integration will have you praising modern technology. Fueled by the SONY STARVIS sensor IMAX335, this mirroring dash cam displays crisp clear footage even in low-light environments. The automatic adjustment features balance light and dark areas efficiently, making it easy to discern plate numbers and road signs at night.</p>

<h2>12 Inches of Touchscreen Wine</h2>

<p>A notable mention is the 12-inch anti-glare IPS touch screen. Working in sync with its wide field of view, this system delivers tangible real-time traffic monitoring. This brand of immediacy greatly aids safe driving while making nostalgic nods to the spontaneous, in-the-moment feel of classic motoring.</p>

<p>The NexiGo D80’s interface graciously amplifies its efficiency. You can save current footage and images quickly, tweak screen brightness, and seamlessly switch between front and rear view cameras for a holistic driving experience. It stands as a testament to how advanced today’s retro-themed technology has become.</p>

<h2>Braving the Elements</h2>

<p>Move over mustangs, this NexiGo D80 has serious temperature resilience! Capable of enduring extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to 70°C, the NexiGo D80 stands out as a reliable choice for any weather. Its unique defogging algorithm boosts visibility, effectively navigating through haze and fog.</p>

<p>In addition to its ambitious temperature stands, it sports an IP67 waterproof rear camera. The HDR function prevents overexposure while providing enhanced night vision, creatively tackling multiple climatic conditions.</p>

<h2>Multifunctional Mastery</h2>

<p>Brimming with useful features, the NexiGo D80 is far more than a dash cam. It includes an emergency recording feature that automatically locks footage of incidents, and a parking monitor function which keeps an eye on your automobile when you leave.</p>

<p>The looped recording ensures you never miss a moment, and the reversing aid guides your maneuvers, reducing chances of scrapes and bumps. What more could a retro tech car enthusiast ask for?</p>

<h2>Final Gear Shift</h2>

<p>We at Retro Tech Drives have tested many mirror dash cams, but the NexiGo D80 2.5K ranks among the best. Its combination of high-definition recording, powerful night vision, responsive touch screen, and multipurpose functionalities make it an ideal addition to any retro ride.</p>

<p>Nevertheless, no product is perfect. As tough as it is, the camera could still malfunctions in extreme temperatures. And while its parking monitor feature is a godsend, it requires a hard-wire kit that needs to be purchased separately.</p>

<p>In essence, the NexiGo D80 2.5K Mirror Dash Cam is a technological marvel that blends the charm of yesteryears with the promise of tomorrow. Its pros considerably outweigh its cons, all of which explains its robust 4.4/5 rating on Amazon.</p>

WOLFBOX 12” Mirror Dash Cam: Old Meets New in This Classic Car Upgrade

How do we reconcile a love for classic autos with a craving for modern functionality? WOLFBOX may have found the solution in their 12” mirror dash cam. At first glance, the piece evokes the emotion of simpler days gone by, yet it takes no time to realize it’s packed with advanced technology that even the most contemporary vehicles could only dream of possessing.

A Sight for Sore Eyes

What truly makes the WOLFBOX 12” Mirror Dash Cam shine is its large 12-inch 2.5K front camera and WDR rear camera, which beautifully crafts a super-clear and silky-smooth video experience. Every intricate detail on the road, from important signs to the elusive license plates, gets captured with stunning clarity.

Driving Companion

Its convenient WiFi and GPS features transform this dash cam into an indispensable driving companion. Managed through a user-friendly app, its GPS accurately records your driving route and speed while the WiFi allows for immediate download and sharing right from your smartphone.

No More Guesswork

WOLFBOX ensures safety through its superior accident detection technology. Whether it is day or night, the dashcam, combined with the excellent F1.5 aperture, records and locks videos during a collision, making the unseeable instantly visible.

Built to Last

The resilience of the G840H mirror dash cam is notable, especially its special supercapacitor that is resistant to extreme weather (-4℉-158℉). This tiny hardware, coupled with the superior transmission speed of its TYPE-C interface, makes the WOLFBOX dashcam a reliable and durable technology in your classic car.

Seeing More Than Ever

No corner is left unseen with its 320° wide-angle shooting capabilities. The issue of mirror image reversal gets efficiently solved with its vertical/mirror rotation rear camera angle, making parking safer and driving more assured.

Customer-loved

The 12 months after-sales guarantee and 24/7 after-sales service underline WOLFBOX’s commitment to customer satisfaction. Their dedication to serve doesn’t stop at just providing a top-tier product, but rather continues into ensuring that every question is answered and every issue is resolved.

Impressions

However, no product is perfect. As brilliant as it may be, the WOLFBOX Mirror Dash Cam has its own quirks. One main point of contention is the need for a separate ‘dashcam wire kit’ for it to function best. Without it, there are possibilities of the car’s battery getting drained. Another major drawback is the meticulous installation process that might not be everyone’s cup of tea. But once surpassed, users found the features surpassing expectations.

Trusted by drivers

Despite these minor setbacks, the overwhelming response from our user tests was positive. Praised for its top-of-the-line resolution and sensible user interface, it was adored for its ability to integrate modern conveniences into a classic setting. While some took issue with the Wi-Fi connectivity, the majority found value in its robust features, and the camera’s audio recording capability was especially appreciated.

Is it worth it?

In conclusion, the WOLFBOX 12” Mirror Dash Cam stands as a testament to how blending sentimental classics with modern tech can manifest into a beautiful marriage of function and nostalgia. It is not without its flaws, but those are minor when compared to the benefits it offers, making this mirror dash cam a worthy upgrade for any classic car enthusiast that appreciates safety and sophistication.

If you’ve ever dreamt of merging classic aesthetics with cutting-edge attributes, look no further than the WOLFBOX 2.5K Mirror Dash Cam. It seamlessly synthesizes the charm of nostalgic vehicles and the benefits of contemporary technology – a fusion that caters to the hearts of retro car enthusiasts and tech gurus alike.

Our team of testers embarked on a hands-on journey to pen an insight-driven review based on first-hand experiences and meticulous observations.

State-of-the-Art Visual Clarity

Boasting impressively high-definition lenses that equip both front and rear-facing cameras, this dash cam captures road scenarios with Ultra-High Definition 2.5K resolution (2560x1440p), ensuring granular detail in every frame. The rear camera isn’t left behind either, providing 1080p resolution accompanied by a 140° wide angle, reducing blind spots and ensuring security.

Under-the-Hood Upgrades

WOLFBOX takes pride in its pioneering battery technology. The firm has successfully replaced traditional batteries with supercapacitors that are faster, safer, more durable, and temperature-resistant. With this system, you get an increase in charging efficiency as well as discharge times, leading to a significantly extended lifespan even in extreme weather conditions.

Advanced Safety Features

The 2.5K Mirror Dash Cam goes above and beyond to make your journey safer. Besides the essential dash cam features, their Safe Parking Assist is specifically designed to aid in secure parking. With a 310° wide-angle, it provides a comprehensive view of the surroundings, decreasing the probability of hitting obstacles in your blind spots.

24/7 All-Round Protection

Day or night, the built-in WDR technology ensures a clear vision. To boot, the dash cam’s 24-hour surveillance system ceaselessly protects your vehicle. In the event of sudden impacts, its G-sensor automatically records the occurrence, locking the video as potential crucial evidence.

Interactive and User-friendly

Complementing this high-end tech is an engaging smart full-touch screen that makes operations easier and more convenient. What’s more, with the dual-screen display, users can effortlessly switch between front and rear views.

Nonetheless, our experience wasn’t without minor setbacks.

Minor Glitches

While the overall design of the WOLFBOX 2.5K Mirror Dash Cam is impressive, we felt the need for a touch of improvements. The glaring lights from the vehicles behind us caused some issues with night vision clarity. Additionally, it would favor the users if there were an option to manually adjust the frame rate of the display, and the option to adjust the displayed image to the left or right.

Touching on Customer Service

Notable strides have been made in customer support where the company has proven its dedication to improved service. Despite occasional bumps in the road with their customer service, their proactiveness in responding to issues is commendable.

Verdict

The fusion of retro charm and modern technological marvel make the WOLFBOX 2.5K Mirror Dash Cam a worthy contender in the dashcam market. The practicality extends beyond just providing a recording of the road; the dashcam brings high-resolution videos, user-friendly navigation, and most importantly, peace of mind. Despite minor setbacks, we stand by the product and the brand. It’s the perfect harmony of the old meeting the new, and it’s the future of driving made safer.

An In-Depth Review of the KQQ 12″ 2.5K 3 Channel Mirror Dash Cam

As automotive technology advances, so do the accessories that accompany our vehicles. Today, we delve into the world of dash cameras, specifically the KQQ 12″ 2.5K 3 Channel Mirror Dash Cam, a modern and intricately crafted device that pays homage to the ethos of vintage motor-tech: functionality, purity, and engagement. Rated at 3.9 out of 5 stars on Amazon, this product holds substantial promises along with a few surprises.

Features & Specifications

The KQQ 3 Channel Mirror Dash Cam boasts a triple camera system, offering an impressive 2.5K resolution for the front lens and 1080p for both the interior and rear cameras. With its easy-to-navigate 12″ anti-glare IPS touchscreen, the device provides crystal clear footage and an expansive field of view. For those consumers concerned with navigating diverse routes, the dash cam is equipped with GPS tracking, which, however, warrants the purchase of an external module.

A notable feature is the parking monitor function that, with a hardwire kit, provides around-the-clock surveillance. The longevity of the device is supported by a generous 1-year warranty, further backed by responsive and helpful customer service. Despite its raft of features, our rigorous testing revealed both pros and cons of this product, which are outlined below.

Pros

Across various scenarios, we noticed that the front camera provided high-resolution video, performing admirably in different lighting conditions. The touchscreen reaction was fast and responsive, facilitating a user-friendly experience. A remarkable value-add is the inclusion of a 64GB SD card, making setup a breeze.

The dash cam scores high on versatility—not only does it offer impressive video quality, but it also allows three-way camera switching. This feature makes for a flexible viewing experience, complimenting the high-resolution color cabin camera.

Cons

While flaunting several commendable features, the KQQ dash cam is not without its drawbacks. Our testing revealed issues with the motion blur, making license plates hard to discern unless the car is in close proximity. We also noticed that the monitor’s resolution was slightly lackluster compared to expectations of current technology. This issue would often make the rearview less crisp and clear, an unwelcome disadvantage given the system’s wide-angle perspective.

The rear camera performance, particularly in low-light or direct sun conditions, fell short of expectations. Night vision struggled to offer a clear image, reducing the effectiveness of the rear-view option during evening trips. Furthermore, the absence of an internal battery posed a challenge, with instances of abrupt power cuts interrupting the recording function.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the KQQ 12″ 2.5K 3 Channel Mirror Dash Cam, while reflecting an innovative blend of modern and vintage features, does exhibit limitations. However, its standing as a versatile, high-resolution camera system with crucial safety features makes it a worthy consideration for customers seeking an upgrade to their driving experience.
